Thanks, oscard, for sharing your design! As is the case with even simple 3D designs, time is saved when someone else, like yourself, does the design and shares.

In my case, I'm building a CNC machine in my garage which requires running a number of 2 and 4 wire cables to various controllers mounted under the table top. I can't run the cables through the top work surface so must run through a "side" board, a 2 X 4 in this case. So, a "standard", round grommet, would require maybe too big of a hole in the 2 X 4 side. Your design fits perfectly and seems a lot more "stylish" to me.

I think the size is about perfect with a wide flange to cover the hole and allow for a screw if necessary. My AC power cord connector is too big to fit through, but I'll be able to trim some "excess" rubber from it and make it fit.

I have been using 75% fill as my default and seem to have less trouble with holes and parts, like this, that have thinner walls.

Hi Gary,

great it fit in your project. Nowadays I model my thin parts : 2 x nozzle width x nr of outer shells. Which would give something like

2 x 0.4 x 2 = 1.6

or

2 x 0.4 x 3 = 2.4

this will give solid walls independent of infill.

good luck with your cnc project!
