I'm always loosing my lens cap. This is perfect!

Is there a way to make the part the attaches to the strap wider? It printed out great, but the stock strap for a Canon 6D is way too wide for the default print for this. I'm using Cura as well if that helps. Thanks!

Assuming I'm parsing your question correctly... If you use the Customizer, You'll want to adjust the "Buckle Width" and/or "Buckle Gap".

Thank you so much! That worked :)

For those asking how to change the scad file for different lens sizes. There are 3 things I changed, 1) the lens_diameter parameter, which I set to the full width of the lens cap - edge to edge. 2) Changed the first attribute in the capmount function to be the same number as the lens_diameter parameter. 3) Then changed the second capmount function to be the size of the lens which is usually written on the back of your lens cover for your camera. Hope that helps.

I've never used openSCAD and if someone could explain how to make a double carrier for a 58 and 49 mm lens without the split on the strap holder would be awesome.

I made the 58mm one. They fit great. Thanks

another Etsy seller with no credit given, with what looks like zero modifications to the design https://www.etsy.com/listing/203065504/custom-color-lens-cap-holder

Works perfectly! Customized it to 52mm to print. Thanks very much!

How did you scale it to make it fit?

your item is being sold for profit with no credit given to you, he even stole your picture for use in his shop.

Couldn't get this to work right for my Nikon cap (72mm). It came out too big. Not sure what I did wrong.

great work, thank you! Printed the 58mm+77mm combined one and both fit well... did not put it on the strap yet, but so far I love it :)

I'm looking for a 50 and a 52mm, how can I put them on the same clip?

I feel that I have only used my printer to make these lol my whole family wanted one for their own cameras too once they had seen mine!

Thanks for the fantastic design :)

how do you do multiple holders in one? what is the scad code? thanks

The "lens_cap_buckle_mk2.scad" has an example. You have to be careful that the two sizes you're trying to combine won't interfere with each other.

In the code, you'll see that "capmount()" is used twice; one with 77mm and another with 58mm. (I uploaded the STL that the scad generates.)

Thats awesome. Thanks!

Cool. I see you're experimenting with combo multiple sizes. How's the fit?

I'm willing to sell some if anyone is willing to purchase. See my contact here: http://omemon.com/2011/07/18/lens-cap-holder/http://omemon.com/2011/07/18/l...

Great model, works perfect for me!

good idea, good design, good product. thank you

Very useful! Should tag it under "useful"! Its hard to find those kind of things here on thingiverse :P

Nice work. I printed one out last night on my ToM (even managed to do it raftless on the ABP despite some belt warping) and it works great! No cleanup work needed at all.

Somebody must talk to Mark Stevenson and show what 3d printer is capable to do.

Good work! =-X

Yes. but he did raise quite some money. Kickstarter also has 3 people who raised money to build a reprap themselves. Interesting website...
