Could you show some photos of the back when finished and also a parts list? This is a great idea.

The back of the part I used is different than the part I uploaded. I don't know if I should include them in the photo gallery, since they don't match.

It originally had a screw-in plate for the back that was going to hold in the AC splitter and the USB hub I disassembled. I had a few issues, so I ended up just gluing those parts in place.

At some point in my OpenSCAD editing, and this is the most dreadful OpenSCAD code I've ever written, I miscalculated the depth of the AC adapter hardware, so the plate wasn't going to work. I also managed to break that old USB hub, so I ended up gluing in 3 USB cables instead.

I also snapped some of the screw bosses.

I'm embarrassed that I ended up using glue. If this weren't so specific to my own desk, and if a standard 3 prong AC splitter existed, I would have tried harder to make a more generic model that anyone could use. At any rate, I hope this is a reasonable start for anyone else trying to do the same thing!
