im also having issues witht the handle's when i drop it into cura 4.0 it tell's me it wont print as it's not water tight, so i put inin mesh mixer and make it water tight and it deforms the bottom of the handle and fill's in the fixing holes in the top of the handle ?

I wanted to like the whole thing but i can't. what i liked is only the design of the handle, but the lever position is so bad until it didn't really do anything. even the handle itself has overhangs on top side and mounting holes for the clamp not printed properly.

In summary, this is a bad design. I'm sorry

in my case it worked.
Hands and Cans are different.
Printed fine on my Ultimaker original.

You might be better off using the older version of this. I first printed the ergonomic version but the strap part is higher up in this design and I was not able to fit it onto any of my cans without it spraying. This may work fine if you have a different brand than I do. Printing out the older one right now.

older version work better?

i can be resized in a 3D program though. ;)
i would have made that part customisable but im not used in programming.
Someone capable of thingiverses "Customizer" could be doing this easy, provided with some min and max values

Between the two halves of the handle empty space. it would be good to do another piece that would shut the space at the bottom of the handle.

there is such a part- but i forgot to upload it here. its in the original spraygun parts section. looks like an "O"

The handle. The file as is didnt fit in my 20x20 bed (on the slicer program I mean). I was wondering how long the handle should be - and also I guess the diameter of the ring.

hm. i stil dont understand why you need those dimensions.. its a 1:1 saved file. millimeters.
if you didn't mess with the Import factors of your software it actually should come up in the right size.
(btw. as all open source should be produced, i work in Metric system..)
you should meshure one of your desired Spraycans, then the inside of the ring in my digital model... that way you can make shure a fitting part comes out at the end.

Could you post the dimensions of the piece?

which one?

I'm using makerware with the makerbot 2x. Just got it. Could use all the help I can get. Just starting to get a little hang of it but I still have a few misprints.

I see Makerware doesnt have this really essential function.. so heres a tutorial with Meshlab.

could somebody please mirror the handle for me and safe it ? I printed all the other stuff and one handle already.

what printer software are you using?
ther should be a button to do this effortless.

The handle file is far from manifold :( I have been slowly fixing it using sketchup. The other parts printed well!

my 3D printer eats this data just fine..
I sadly dont own a 3D software that can model in this "Manifold" way..

i just use boolean operations to add or subtract volumes from each other.

But there is this repairing software from netfabb. maybe it can help you. (beta online service)

Ah, gotcha. I will try the online netfabb...I ran it manually and not much better. I have been slowly working on it in Sketchup and I will hit you up when I have the handle finished/manifold ;) Looking forward to printing the rest out and putting it to service! Thanks again mate

Nice but where is the left piece

u should read the thing infos...
i hope you know how to mirror a 3d-printable object.
Most software have tools for this.
