You know that I tried print everything using ABS but the contraction of the material was crazy. Was impossible fit all the bearing without use my dremel. The carriage was impossible to use. Im going to buy PETG and print them again but your works is amazing

Great job. I have just discovered that the DaVinci 1.0A has its rods spaced like a CTC. So I am going to try your carriage on my 1.0A to breathe new life into it. Would it be possible for you to add a mount for a BLTouch?

Berny, your work looks great, and I have a feeling I am going to be printing a set of these. I'm assuming these are the igus RJ4JP-01-08 bearings? I didn't see in the thing details, what plastic did you print these in?

Sorry, I don't remember on the right name of the igus bearings.
I printed all parts with ASA.

Great model, even Material4Print uses it for showing off their products! Guess they also have a couple of CTCs in their factory :-D

Cool - thx for the info. :D

Hi, i want to use kg8uu OD16mm L25mm, can you provide a mod version or a cad file?
thanks

What chain have you use on your printer?

Take a look in the thing details ... there is a link to this chain (the stepper mount must be replaced).

This thing is just amazing! Great job man! How does it work for you?

Thx, works still great. :)

Can you share stp .step .prt ....... files?
I would like to make these to fit the 16mm OD polymer bearings without altering the bearings.

It's made with ThinkerCad ... so I don't have any source files.
You could print simple spacer rings to fit to the lenght of your bearings...

Would be nice if you listed where you purchased your bearings? Yours are clearly not stock roller bearings. I've changed mine out with oil infused bronze bushings. Thanks,

Cory

You can buy them here https://www.lulzbot.com/store/parts/solid-polymer-bearing-rjm-01
Be sure you select the 8mm size.

Standard LM8UU bearings are 15mm OD
The polymer bearings are 16mm OD

I think the bearings for this mod are these https://emvioeng.com/shop/product/drylin-bearings-for-8mm-shaft-15mm-od/
they are direct replacement to the LM8UU so 24mm long 15mm OD and 8mm ID

the rmj are 16OD so they dont fit this design

Thanks for the link.

Hi, nice job! Do you think its possible to do a quick change tool to allow remove and put a Dremel? Or laser? For instance to make PCB's and engrave things? Regards,
Nuno

To create an additional attachment to mount on the carriage matching to your tool (Dremel, Laser) should be possible. It's independend on the type of carriage - original or this one - just 2 screws to replace. To create this "attachement" it would be necessary to have this tools for the right measures. I don't have it, so I can't...

Sorry, but I have no idea what you speak about ...

  • ffc pro???
  • misumis???

Flashforge Creator pro a later version of yours. Misumis are supposed to be higher quality bearings. http://us.misumi-ec.com/vona2/mech/M0100000000/M0104000000/

OK, thx for explanation ...
It is designed for the standard LM8UU size: Diameter inner: 8mm, outer: 15mm, length: 24mm. For smaller length you would need just an adapter, esay to print - but I cannot find a matching Misumi bushing concerning diameters.

My ffc pro bearings are going and I want to use standard length bearings to get misumis, would this fit an ffc pro you think?
