Will this work for double stack for a .40 s&w sd40ve?

Is it possible for you to update this design so that it can be scaled ,to suit different caliber magazines and to allow increase in the no of magazines it will hold .I ask as I have a coonan1911 .357 mag and std magazine holders for .40 .45 cal are not big enough for its magazine and there are not many available.

Yeah I could definitely update this design. I'm alot better at modeling now lol. I made this with google sketch so you can imagine how painful that was. I'll look up the mags and see what I can find on them dimension wise

Thanks for reply ,I am just starting in 3d printing ,and at moment still havent got my printer to print it does everything but push pla through Nozels ,I think I will have to replace thermisters ,pity as new printer.I have been collecting jobs I need to print when I get it going. then I will get into designing makes . Thank you for looking at redesign of magazine holder.as it s a pain having to carry mine in my pockets.
Best Regards

Hmm, I need these but for my S&W Shield .40 and my S&W .45C. Might need to design something similar.

With ABS at 104% the sig 226 .40 mags fit nice. Clip v3-1 the hole is way to big though

SO close to fitting my Beretta CX4 Storm .40 S&W magazines, the little raised part is just around 2mm off. Seems very durable though.

Tried using today during IDPA practice. You can shove the magazines down enough to get a nice fit, however the clip simply comes off the belt rather easily. Any chance of you making another version of the clip, perhaps in a C shape, with 1.6" or so between the top of the bottom of the C? If not, I can probably whip one up in sketchup, just curious.

I just uploaded "MagclipV3", as you requested it's 1.6" from top of c to the bottom of the clip part. Let me know if it works or what needs to be changed. I haven't tried to print it myself yet, my printer is down at the moment :(

When I prepared for my printer using ReplicatorG and skeinforge 50, it does not create the inner pyramid/slots. It seems to only print out a few random layers with the slots, which will break off rather rapidly. Looking at the gcode itself, it's printing the instructions properly, but skineforge is only generating a few layers with the slots.

Could you upload a file where the locking triangles originate at the base of the holder? It seems as if it is a "floating" feature inside the magwell.

I'm printing it now but I had to import it into the tinkercad then export it in order the SF50 to slice it without errors. You might be able to get similar results by running it through the netfabb cloud.

When I exported it I run all of my files through netfabb to correct them. Ill take a look at it tonight and see if I can fix anything.

When I originally tried to slice it had a bunch of "Dangling edges, will use intersecting circles to get import layer at height" errors. For some reason after just importing it to Tinkercad and exporting it these errors went away. I have no idea what the problem actually was.

I'll look into repairing the file. BTW, the holder in it's current scale doesn't seem large enough for 9mm magazines, which is a bit bizarre, since it's common for people with a M&P40 to run a 9mm barrel and magazines for practice. Unless my carrier just printed incorrectly. I measured only .84" wide, and my 9mm magazines measure at .86 at the widest point (near the top). I'm going to try printing a repaired file at 1.03 scale and see where that gets me.

It does seem to fit the WE toucan/WE Big Bird M&P airsoft clone, which claims to be based on the .40, so that makes sense.

Did you ever get it sorted for your 9mm mags? I might give the print a shot tomorrow since I finally have black abs in the printer.

so excited to print this and show it off at the range. Keep up the good work!

I'll give this a try with my MP9 full size mags.

I used the slit thats in the side of the S&W mags to hold it in place. I hope it works for you. I'm uploaded the sketchup file here too so if it doesn't but you like the design you can change it and make it work for yourself if you want.

"unnecessary?" :) YOU try practicing for steel challenge without custom formed kydex mag pouches! :P

I just learned something today. I had to look up "kydex" and I had that aha momment "so thats what my crossbreed holster is made outta" thank you, I now have more projects to add to my list.

I love your tardis straw buddy. Im printing that tomorrow for sure. Now I can warp time while Im drinking.

hehe glad you like it! Ya, I have spent FAR too much money on holsters, mag pouches, misc junk while shooting competitions. I shoot a Sig P226 X-Five L1 (inspired naming convention there) and had to send my gun to Bladetech to get a holster made as there were so few of them that they hadn't made a mold for the x-five. I learned a lot about kydex right then and there!
