This case is build around a Raspberry Pi A+ and a Adafruit PiTFT 2.4" HAT with the main goal of being as compact/small as possible (only 17mm high! )
Inspired by Adafruits very nice Pocket PiGRRL
To achieve this the pin-sockets that came with the pitft was replaced by a cut down ic-socket and the raspberry pins where shortened - so that the pcb of the pitft sits (almost) directly on the highest components: the hdmi and usb sockets on the raspberry.
uses M3 nuts, glued into the top part (make sure to clear the round recess for the screw beforehand!)
and M3x16 countersunk screws to hold everything together
yes - the mounting holes on the raspberry and its hat are onlye 2,5mm - but they are easily widened to fit the more common screw size :-P
Note: on the pitft-pcb has a diode (D1) that is used to control the backlight via pwm. this diode hits the hdmi connector which is why i removed a bit of the metal casing to save a little bit more height :-P
