Hi, great board and thanks for sharing! i'm here becouse on my mightyboard rev.e based print LCD and SD card reader are located about 1 meter (in cable lenght, i had a ribbon cable 1 meter long) from the mightyboard. Could this board increase the stability of the line so i could left my lcd assembly far from mightyboard?

I have another question... is possibile to use it without the esd part I board right?

Thank you! In a week or two i will try and post here the result. I've bought a 1 meter long shielded cable and i want to avoid any electric interference to the lcd and sd assebly.
thanks again

Added an 'Assembly Notes' .pdf for anyone who is building one of these on their own. I also just noticed that I apparently never put up the Gerber files. I'll get those on here tonight.

Parts and boards have arrived, but I'm going to be gone next week. I should have assembled boards about two weeks from now. I still have to sit down and figure out what these cost.

How's this looking? I'm ready with with money in hand. Don't under price it. Your work is well worth the money.

Not being an electrical engineer I’ll ask the questions.
Can this be installed on the other end of the cable, over the MightyBoard?
Would you need to reverse the ribbon cable connectors?
Is their some other reason it needs to be located next to the display?
Doing this would allow a stock appearance of the display, using the Replicator Keyboard Cover.

I'm afraid it wouldn't have the same effect at the other end. The regulator and capacitance really need to be near the LCD board. And with no 3.3V consumers left on the MIghtyBoard, the level translators need to be there too. Like Dave said, the right thing to do is to redesign the LCD board completely.

So my question is when do you plan to just redesign the board and display from scratch? I like what you're doing here. BTW I noticed you've got some hacking in your wood panels. To say thank you for doing this if you want some wood parts laser cut just let me know. I'll hook you up for free.

Boards and parts are on order for a small quantity build of EndStop ESD board and the LCD ESD board. I'll announce when they are close to being ready. The Gerber files aren't in the download yet, but I will add them soon.

Hi, any updates on where to purchase endstop and LCD esd boards?
Thanks!

"Dremel tool with cutoff wheel, or some other implement of destruction to make the cuts cuts in the Replicator case as described below. "

Everyone knows that Laser cutter > Dremel tool

However, one must be careful with wording! A "destructive device" has a whole different meaning. http://www.atf.gov/firearms/guides/importation-verification/firearms-verification-nfa-destructive-device.htmlhttp://www.atf.gov/firearms/gu...
