Very nice! Btw printed on my imprecise printer, the hinge reaches it's end of travel before the teeth are fully closed, leaving a small gap. Might be nice to make the half circle a little bit less than that so that it's more tolerant.
Thanks for sharing this!

Excellent solution btw, i have been messing with these, but since you cant print stresses into the object, you have to do it in two parts, neither this approachhttp://www.thingiverse.com/thi... nor the lock brickhttp://www.thingiverse.com/thi... approach works well at the scale i want.

Why not make the spring a part of one of the scissors? That way you cant lose it.

I tried to attach the spring directly to the two scissors, but slic3r tends to make small space between the spring and the scissor parts regardless of how the model looks. propably because the spring is only 1 extrusion width wide. The result will be glued together anyway, but it tends to break at exactly that gap, so you will propably have 3 parts anyway after some use :) However, I will upload the model and stl when I got some time.

The basic idea of this clamp was to construct something that works without vitamins, but maybe I'll make one for use with regular springs sometime.

Kc is just my nickname.

Cool, i am pretty far with a clamp inspired by yours, it is at the usual place; https://github.com/o-jasper/various_physibles/tree/master/clamp/dryhttps://github.com/o-jasper/va...

Added holes to glue filaments and a guide so it cant slide side to side and an optional gap behind the teeth. Its parametric.

I still have to print a bunch and figure some good values for the parameters as 'defaults'.
