Hi 4ndreas, What kind of plastic did u use? Maybe I missed it in your explanation video.

I have some Natural White Innofill ABS which is sort of transparent. Or might a white more light blocking material be better suited?

Do you have a link to the RGB modules u used or a manufacturer/partnumber or something like that?

Hi Noneus,
i know your request is a long time ago, but I'm planning my build of this lamp and I'm in contact with 4ndreas.
He used white PLA for his lamp, the RGB-modules are from aliexpress. you can find them here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/5-pcs-X-D38-6-leds-5050-RGB-5mm-Original-Public-Board-LED-SMD-Driver-IC/32688611294.html

Hi my name is Marco, I'd like to know arduino's sketch. Are you so kind to show it to me? Best regard and thanks Marco

I added a demo sketch

Why would you recommend using an ESP8266 over a Spark Core or Photon?

If you need the cloud functionality the sparkcore is your first choice I think, for using it in you private WLAN there is no need for the core. The ESP8266 works quite good. I will post an update about this next week.
Price is the first point.
