awesome! thanks. instructions do not cover use of ring to keep fins steady nor tying the string connected to the bottom- to the top as well. that's kind of obvious but i'm not redneck, so maybe i'm wrong...

Your issue is most likely not enough cooling, to fix that problem you can change minimum layer time, add more cooling, or print a pillar next to it that is the same height so that it has to move over and that give the tip time to cool.

I provided the step files if you'd like to thicken them up.
