Great model! I used this with my AKASO EK700 4K Action Camera ( http://amzn.to/2tw491R same exact thing as a GoPro but only $55!) and it works perfectly!

What do you recommend for infill percentage?

I had it set pretty high(60-80%) because I was worried the hooks on the foot clamp would otherwise break. Alternatively you could use low infill but raise the thickness of the outer perimeters.

Could you please post the sketchup file?

Well, my homie has printed it for me and it looks great, but I'm afraid it's not strong enough. I ride a bike quite often and also a motorbike and unfortunately it almost cracked lol. Anyway, it's great job.

So I downloaded the file you have here (sick job by the way, looks amazing!) and when I opened it up in several programs (Solidworks, netfabb, etc.) it said it was ~100" wide lol answering any of the following questions would be helpful =): 1. do you have a file with proper scale/size? 2. Is there an easy way to scale it? I worry about scaling because if I scale it while keeping the proportions of each dimensions, it's not easy to tell if the mount will fit right. Thanks so much for your help!!! Love it!

Hi, the file is scaled right but I think you have your units set to inches instead of mm. ;)
In Netfabb it's under Settings>Settings>Unit of length. Set it to "mm" instead of "in".
STL files(and others) don't have unit data in them so when dealing with those for 3D printing it's most likely the metric system(mm).

Makes great sense to me!! I kinda wondered if that was it, but this is literally the first thing I have ever done with 3d printing so I was not sure what was going on lol thank you so much!!! I cant wait to print this and use it! You rock!

Great work! I'm new in the 3D stuff, how did you made the grafic?

Most of my designs here are made in Sketchup 8 with an STL export plugin.

Great replacement part to the original model (and much cheaper ;)

Fits greatly on a Hero 3 and feels very strong. Attachment is good, no worries of letting the camera fall

Just have to take some time to attach the straps.
Thanks !

Thank you for the positive comment. The mount is pretty stable when the straps aren't too loose.

I do have a safety strap on the gopro housing though just to be sure.

I always have a safety strap on my GoPro, even with official/industrial mounts ;)

I printed this a while ago, and it fits my GoPro Hero 1 perfectly! Thank you so much! I will be wearing to through the Tough Mudder course next week!

Thank you Let us know how the mount performed on the course. :)
