the pieces should be made into dummy loads for ham radio gear...

That would be extreme geekiness, and should only be attempted if your geek card is current, and your membership is paid in full. ;)

You may of course do something like attend CES on your own dime as a vacation. While you are there, you must visit places like the Xilinx booth in the meeting area space and check out their FPGAs. :-D Then when you're done there, then you need to be sure to stop by Arin's booth or any other booth that shows the guts of the compent or just hardened routers and the like. Any booth with an iPhone or iPad case will cost you your geek points (since you'll be making your own when you get home). You are permitted to visit the MakerBot booth (it's even highly encouraged).

After a couple of posts bewailing the lack of BNC connectors, I have decided to offer a swap. Print any other chess set on thingiverse (complete set, both sides, two different colors, could be painted if you don't have more than one color) and I will swap you straight across for 32 bnc connectors. I have at least a few more sets worth of connectors. Offer good till I run out of spare connectors.

I knew I shouldn't have thrown out all that old BNC cabling.

Posted a printable BNC replacement. Also see above for a BNC for Chess set swap offer :)

Does anyone know of something that can replace these bunches of BNC connectors (like a model here or something like that)

Here ya go. It's dirt simple, but should replace the connectors where needed.

I particularly like the knight :)

It did turn out rather well, it is a bit tippy though with all the weight out front that way.

Beautiful and simple!

Just don't look too closely at the printed pieces. My overhang-fu is not quite up to snuff.
