I have a geeetech unit but the bed and glass issue is pretty much identical I think, my solution so far is that I have made a tiny metal C shaped bent piece of metal for the back to slide under the x axis carriage (its really low on the back) and cut one of them very short so it just goes on enough to hold it down, and it works pretty well, the metal I used is some metal strip from a local factory to bind up bundles of large steel pipes but I think you could use those metal flat strips from pallet hold downs and bundles of 2x4 wood studs (not sure what european version is of that) for transport on trucks and trains, and they just toss that stuff away usually, very good useful material, I have even made hose clamps by ringing it then bending the ends 90 degrees and punching a hole in the ends so I can run a screw through both ends to tighten it up :)

by the way I have a self made CNC mill too, electronics and motors from stepper world before he went away :(

Great tip, I'm having the same problem with the x-carriage. Can you send a link to where you bought the longer linear blocks?

As it seems they are on the same bolts and springs than the printing bed, each time you touch one of them how do you manage for the bed clamps to not interfere with you bed level ?

I made the same thing with X axis.
The bearings supplied is too short.
