A customisable V idler pulley.
I needed an idler pulley for fishing line that moved quite quickly. I could only find U and flat idler pulleys, which tend to let the fishing line wander out too easily, so I made this V pulley which works nicely.
Add the height and OD you need for the pulley.
Add in the dimensions of the bearing. It will automatically add the correct support for it, so the bearing is centred in the pulley. The default settings are for a 608zz bearing.
The Groove depth is distance from the edge of the pulley to the bottom of the V.
Press the bearing in immediately after it finishes printing; the plastic will be softer and the ABS won't have shrunk completely.
For some reason, the Thingiverse preview doesn't render it correctly for some settings and angles, however it will render both the image for your file and the STL file correctly.
If anyone has any idea why this is happening then please leave a message!
