Why do you say you can not place an Iphone?
With a rubber adapter it could work.

Is Iphone 7 plus will be fit to this mount? Maybe someone tested it?

not if the camera is in the corner of the phone.

Id love a mount for the larger eyepieces. Anyway we could get a modified base for larger eyepieces?

What's the OD you want to clamp onto?
Maybe this remix can work?

Otherwise I make one with a larger ID or better a version of that remix with diamond shaped internal clamp instead of cylinder which should work for any diameter.

Universal telescope eyepiece smartphone mount V2

I made this and it came out really nicely. Thanks for sharing, this is a great design.

Looks great! Can't wait to test it, maybe already this weekend ☺️

I'd like to print this. But I don't know what size of contacting part to telescope . And please judge whether my telescope can contract; my telescipe is celestrone powerseeker 80eq and i use basic eyepiece.

Hey hey, I am going to design a 2 part diamond shaped fixing mechanism to fit any size cylinder.
Ill do it before friday...
Hopefully...

I'd love to use this but I have baader Hyperion lenses which have a much bigger barrel. Any thoughts on modifying the clamp maybe to be more strap like so it could go around different sized lenses?

Ps I have the same scope (lx90 acf) and baaders are amazing on it. I bought an 8, 13, & 17mm and the difference from kit lenses is astonishing. I bought mine second hand for around $80 each. They are normally $150 each.

Moving house right now though so I'll probably only get to it in a week or two.

Hey, thanks for the awesome design, saving me the purchase of a DSLR!
Did you get around to this update? (I also have a Baader Hyperion zoom lense with a bigger barrel than the standard eyepiece.)

Kind of. I don't actually have a telescope of my own though so its hard to test. I made this while working at the Astronomical Observatory.

Here is V2 which is intended to work with elastic bands only (no nuts or bolts), but the scope mount piece is a bit wobbly. It either needs industrial strength elastic or a redesign.

Eyepiece smartphone mount (universal) V2

Cool thanks! Appreciate it!

Pure genius! I was trying to envision a fix and figured it would be different adapters for each size barrel

Made one of these and use it on my microscope through an adapter that I came up with (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1013379). It's a very nice design, and I've found it easy to adapt it with most smartphones I've thrown at it.

The hex head openings are a bit large (I assume because this was designed for a .5 nozzle), but not enough to keep it from working. If the bolts wobbling bother you, can always use a few drops of glue on them.

Great work!

Nice, I just printed a few simple cylinders (with a bit missing like the clamp) to adapt it to different scopes :)
Yea it was designed for a 0.5mm nozzle because it prints so damn fast!
