how does the friction between the M8 screw and the filament come about? The M8 screw has a smooth surface.

Hi.

In the instructions is a link for the M8 bolt, you can find them all over the net. Thx.

Hi,
Some how the 80T pulley stl file is broken. In several STL apps is reported as broken.
I have not tried the other parts as I try to retrofit the extruder I have to belt drive.
Have a good one.

hi
download all files then extract complete.stl and use any part you need.

Hi.
Broken or broken.. I just try out the file, and it is not Water tight. I use simplify3d and I didn't see it be course this program make it tight in the slicer process. Use the link and up load the file. It will fix the error for you.
In some days I will upload a Water tight fill aswell

https://modelrepair.azurewebsites.net/

Also try see this video from "TOM" This will help you all way thru the process. Have in mind this is 2 separate programs. The model repair is ONLY model repair.

Have a nice day, and please, if you have any problems or need help, contakt me.

Hello,
Tanks for the reply. I was on vacation for 2 weeks and away from my printer and computer.
I managed to fix the pulley somehow. Printed it and it came out OK.

The Body is also not water tight and I was wondering why is that? What happen during the export that the .stl file is erroneous?

I also have a question about the bowden fitting? What size does fit? I have one for the 4mm bowden tube with a M5 thread.
Do I have to order something else?

Thank you.

Hi.
Yes and maby some other parts also is not watertight, thats why you have to use the net service from netfabb. Why some part is not water tight is becourse there is a small gab somwhere, I often forget to use Netfabb service be course the program i use just do the Work in one process when slising so I get a bit lazy I think.
I right now put on a link on the fittings, the hole in the extruder is aboute 9mm, so this fiting will Work.

If you have a special wish, about the extruder, try tell me, maby I can design it for you.

Have a greate one.

THX.
If you need any info, please mail me, also if you have any new idea to add the Extruder.
Best Regards

I hope u get your answar. Please feel free to ask any quastion

I saw this issue several times on other discusions?
Why not mounting the Hobbed bolt reversed? This will fix anything.

I noticed you're using the nyloc nut to spin the bolt. Does it not unscrew itself when assembled this way?
