I have to ask. Do you have any photos of what the burgers look like after they're cooked? I'm wondering how well the words/shapes come out after they shrink a little. Would love to see!

Made it and gave it to my father in law, so I don't, sorry.

You could wrap the print with plastic wrap!

Any chance of uploading with the knob attached? So no hassle of glueing it?

Sorry for the late reply!

Glueing it, has the advatage of a total easier printing before...

So how did the wording come out on these after they were cooked?

thanks¡ It's very useful. Congratulations¡

I think they are so awesome I might use the presses for cookies. LOL

A SMILY-Press uploaded... enjoy it.

By the way, I did not upload the "MINE" and "Bite ME" presses, as the letters are not visible after broiling the patties...
Edit: Have them uploaded now...

"Don´t use ABS or PLA for printing this parts!" -- be sure your extruder is also made from food-grade materials and has no lead etc.. or have been previously used with non food grade plastics.

Considering what we surround ourselves with in the household... well never mind...

If you're sufficiently paranoid, put plastic foil over the parts that comes in contact with the food.

Have fun, eat well. I think this print serves that purpose - I'll print it! PLA and all...

PS: pls upload the MINE and BITE ME... they'll be fun even if only before grilling.

"MINE", "YOURS" and "BITE ME" presses uploaded...

hi

its a good hint .. but it is not a box like tupperware.. you have only to press the meat or some seconds ...

i think a filament for food is good enougth .. but i thingabout a speacial extruder for change it befor printing such thinks ..

best regards smuk

Sorry, but this is not true...;-)

PLA, even at 100% Infill absorb water/moisture like a sponge! The perfect environment for bacillus and salmonella which you certainly do not want ;-)... E.g. PETG is hydrophobic and also dishwasher cleaning at 60 degree celsius is no problem...

Look e.g. for ESUN PETG at Amazon.com - it´s a very nice and friendly Filament - almost as easy to print as PLA.
In Europe I ordered it via Ebay from a shop in Netherland - for 1kg approximate €28,- including shipping to Germany.
But it should be also available on short term via e.g. Amazon.de

"PLA, even at 100% Infill absorb water/moisture like a sponge! " this is not true, PLA is also hydrophobic and does not absorb water. I use PLA for my Fishtank for many years without problems.

yes you are right .. i forgotten the bacillus effect. .. i only think about credentials in the plastic ..

thanks to comment .. i like to learn :-)

best regards

I agree with you lemuba, however that's if you use the same print many times... if you print one before making patties then it should be ok... especially if you don't bbq as much... Either way I love this design good job!
