could this be used to go from my ender 3 pro power supply (24v) to a 5.2v USB?

Yes. Just make sure you have the output voltage adjusted to the correct output before you connect it to the usb for the first time. Once adjusted it will remember the 5v setting so then youre good. Just saying because usb devices are not usually tolerance of voltages above 5.5v.

great thanks. just having some trouble running mt RPi from my psu due to lower voltage output on the dc-dc buck adapter I have at the moment.

I have the same buck converter in a project and it works perfectly for running 12v fans off a 24v power supply. You know , just answering the questions that no one has asked lol.
