You can set the aperture manually on most electronic lenses with a simple work around. With the lens connected directly to the camera body and your f-stop selected press the depth-of-field preview button. While holding the depth-of-field button down simultaneously depress the lens release button and rotate the lens off of the body. Your aperture should be set. I know it works on Canon and Nikon DSLR's. Hope this works for everyone.

Dear martinmunk! Could you share (or send to me) Autodesk Inventor source of this thing? I would like to make electrical contacts for it.

Great design! Is it also possible to make a 25mm version? I want to try it on lenses with a smaller focal distance. On my Sigma 70-300 at 70mm the 100mm extension works great!

Sure, i actually did a 30mm version also but i have a newer, better design that i want to try in the printer before i publish it :)

should i print the actually version or du you plan o release the new design soon?
greetings smuk

I'm glad you ask!
I would recommend you print this one as i don't know when i will have a possibility to test the fit of the improvements i have made :)

great thing! What software did you use to create the design?

I used Autodesk Inventor 2013

Thanks, It works well. I used it with my Canon T3i

Very good, well done. What about a lens reversing adaptor as well?

That may be possible!
I am also going to make a mounting ring for my MR-14EX macro ring but i see the the fine pitch filter threading as a challange.

What diameters to and from would you be interested in, in a revers mounting adapter?
