I was reading what you wrote on Microwave topography but wondering about certain issues that would cause problems in real life . What happens when you use a microwave? Wouldnt phones connecting to wifi cause a disturbance in rssi ? Streaming 4k? Baseboard heating?

Hi, I read your log on Hackaday, great realisation ?
May be you can use your final motion sensor to detect a hand near the switch, and avoid complicated microswitch and moving parts ?

Hello, thanks for the feedback! While it's theoretically nice to have a touchless switch, the radio within the switch itself can really only detect large moving bodies due to a number of factors. The other reason I went with a clicky button is to preserve tactile feedback, as that is what provides quick assurance that an action has taken place. We can detect the click much faster than we can detect a change in brightness levels, which is quite important when it comes to lighting.
