A friend of mine wanted a dice tower, and he loves them pirates.... so I found the request inspirational! I started with the OpenSCAD Pirate Ship:
Loaded it into Sketchup, and played with it for awhile. Enjoy?
The sketchup file is included if you like, but the STLs stand alone. I used the gMax 1.0 from www.grceate.com, a 0.35mm nozzle, and A WHOLE LOT OF PLA. The gMax has a pretty huge print
volume so I did ok, but you might have to scale it down.
The Rocks and the Pool print easily enough with low infill (10%-15%) and zero support, but for the Ship, I had slic3r autodetect all the support I needed... which was a lot.
Glued the Pool to the Rocks, but there's no reason to glue the Ship in place... it'll sit comfortably as is.
I was considering printing the Ship out of WoodFill, actually, but that might just be insane. Someone give it a try?
