Few Tips for printing in abs. If your printing thin >.2 layers speed it up. I print at 235-260(depending on color) and Bed:100 and use Aquanet Hairspray ($2). If you don't have a heated bed you may want to try blue tape but be sure to wipe it with some kind of solvent to remove the waxy layer. If you can keep your print area enclosed also. I got 2 spools of pla when I bought my first round of filaments and I've never touched it. I have had thin walled abs prints warp in my car here in Florida.

Thanks for the tips. I have printed some things in abs now, and I really like the abs juice. After a print I just add some more juice and smooth it back out. I don't have an enclosure but I do have a heated bed. Bad thing is it only cranks up to about 80 degrees.

After reading again noticed you printed with PLA, so how does that hold up?

On this build I wasn't running sub ohm because of the switch, but I never felt anything get hot. I printed one of these for a friend and he used a similar setup with 16 gauge wire. He was running a .4ohm build and he said it never gets hot. My only concern with the PLA for this application is when you leave your box mod in the car on a hot summer day. That will most likely be hot enough to disfigure it. I'm currently working on printing with abs, but It's a lot more challenging than PLA. Honestly PLA was pretty much prep and print for me. I never really changed the factory settings besides quality. I will have another mod posted soon which will be in ABS.

I've 3D printed quite a few box mods before; A sliding-top lid with a tongue and groove system will last forever. Not too difficult to modify your existing design. Might want to keep it in mind for your next revision.

Thanks. I'll have to try it out on the next build

How do the ABS boxes hold up with heat from the RDA and what not? any melting at all? I build pretty low on unregulated devices so the heat concerns me.
