What print settings should be used? Infill?

doesn't make any whistling noise when I blow through it ???

Did the fipple print correctly? Is the chamber fully sealed? I've had a few whistles fail due to the back having a small hole through the layers. You can probably fix this with some judicious usage of a glue. If the fipple didn't print right, it'll probably not work though.

I tried printing the whistle, but the results were similar to what I get when I try to combine too many things in a print run. It prints the first few layers fine, then the print head starts knocking in to some of the printed structures and causes the whole job to fail with balls of plastic coils all over the platform. Any hints on how to keep this from happening?

It could be a lot of things. If you're using PLA, I find printing with a desk fan helps prevent curling. Also, fine-tuning your extrusion parameters so you are not over extruding helps. It sounds like you have a curling, warping, or overextrusion problem.

I think I found the problem. It appears my x-axis stepper was skipping, then losing it's position. It was happening very infrequently when I first got the printer, so I didn't think anything of it, but now I can't print without it skipping, so I am getting it replaced. Thanks for the feedback!

Great job combining these things in to one. My daughter loves it. We are printing whistles for all of her friends for her 3rd birthday party. So thanks for that!

That's really impressive.

For safety, probably would be best to print in PLA rather than ABS since ABS plastic is petroleum / oil based...
