I love the idea and will be printing one out.

The FTA in me however is cringing at the roboRIO lights not being visible from most angles when an alteration can easily make that happen. I'll be looking at shifting the mount point near the lights more inboard and jog the extension that goes on top of them toward the SPI port.

Being able to see those lights on the field in the case of a disablement can help us help you figure out what may be the cause and hopefully prevent it from happening in future matches.

I'm a bit confused as to how this goes together.

do you have to flex the tabs on the main piece? They snap off pretty easily if you do that but it seemed like the only way to get it all in place.

HI,
yes it is designed to just snap into place... different filaments, infill and print temp can all affect how brittle or flexible the part is... if changing filament is not an option... try scaling the top part down 1% or 2% so it pops into place easier...

goodluck !

thanks, I figured it was going to snap on me so i was careful about it and just cracked it a bit. going to patch it up with glue then sand the tabs a bit.

Unfortunately all I have right now is PLA and 2 hours to get it ready for the meeting :(

Ill post a make of it if we get it on the robot.

I was able to open the file in Inventor and edit it. Thanks You!!

I would love to print this but the tabs on mount hang over the edges of my makerbot replicator 2. What program is the easiest to open the file and cut off 2 of the 4 tabs with. Thanks.

I have included the original modeling files for this thing... I created it in AutoDesk Inventor... you can cut up stl's with Slic3r ... if you can't figure it out I can post one without the bases rounded tabs...

Hey there! I'm Owen from team 225, just wondering if you know how much this print weighs.

Honestly I couldn't tell you. It depends on what material your printing and the density. I know you wanted an exact number but it's very very light if printed wth abs and 10% density.

Just got approved by my mentor to print this, right in time for worlds!
