Thanks for this! Also, for the way you made your files to print out. Orientation and spacing was great!

Well, looks like Vertex succeeded! He retrieved the plans, and some unknowingly stolen (and updated) Vertex plans! So, using those, Vertex 2 was made. Hope I made the story a bit better. =)

Verified that half of the head's mesh was fouled up. I cleaned up the model using Wings 3D. You can download it here... https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B2w0WX1jylsidGdiRHFILUFnVkE/edit?usp=sharinghttps://docs.google.com/file/d...

I printed one at 90% in Silver ABS. It took 4h 41m with 5% fill and a raft using Makerware on my Replicator. For some reason, the head doesn't print properly. There appears to be a geometry error in it. So my Lunar Elite Vertex is headless right now. (see the picture).

I was able to fix up the head using Wings 3D. Left half the head mesh was inside out.

Hi Great print thanks for sharing!!

sorry about the flipped normals on the head, I've uploaded a repaired file, thanks for letting me know.

would be great to hear how you get on with the figure and if you have any ideas for improvement?

I finally got around to printing my fixed head. The way that the head attaches to the body can use some improvement. The forearms crack right along the layer seam under durability testing by my 4yo. Yes, despite my instruction to him that it really isn't a toy. LOL. Those cracks could be mitigated by printing the forearms rotated 90 degrees so the seam doesn't carry the stress of the elbow socket. Both of these things are really nitpicks, because you've posted one of the nicer models up here. Thank you and well done!

Thanks a lot for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
This is a work in progress, I aim to update a lot of the joints and hopefully produce something that your 4 year old can play with!

When I use the "Download all files", the Upper_leg file is not included. When I try to download the individual file, all I get is a screen full of code. What am I missing here? Any suggestions?

It's strange that it's not included with 'download all files.' I was however able to download it individually and the file opened fine. I could re-upload the file if you think that could help? Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Found out that the page of code is because IE doesn't like the download. One of my co-workers was able to download it with Google Chrome, so no more problems there.
