Anyone knows why?

Hi friend. Its necesary to generate New supports? I have to use infill?

Could you upload the model as the outer shell without the inner layer and also without the support posts? I'd appreciate it very much!

I thought the back was missing, but it is just a hole. Now that I've looked at the model in my slicer, it does look like it is either meant as a way to insert a light, or maybe as a way to fill the model with sand or lead shot to give it heft.

The back could likely not be scanned as I understand the original is behind glass, because a crazed geologist believing himself to be Jesus Christ returned (not kidding) attacked it with a rock hammer in the 1970's and broke off a number of chunks, which people promptly scooped up and ran off with as souvenirs/holy relics.

Cosmo Wenman has published a detailed model of Mary's face taken from a resin cast marble dust reproduction based off a Vatican produced mold of the original. It is a absolutely beautiful print and if you print the full sculpture here I strongly recommend printing that as well.

This is truly amazing; could you also upload a copy without the posts if you have one?

A STUNNER of an object!! It should be known though that this model file has a hole in the back (a light access???) so the object prints as a hollow manifold. If ya want it as a solid the file would have to be modified.
