Extremely hard to print on mine. Unfortunately failed at about 80%..

Why does it have gaps and holes in it? I would have thought a shapeways printer would make it as solid as the design file is. Is it really low infill or something? Is it supposed to have gaps in it like that? Looks cool, just not like the stl for some reason.

hey, that is the design intention, to show the structure, the files is weirding out..

Sweet! :)

What finger size is the STL file

22mm diam

kinda big

Hi Duann !

It's very interesting. I am allways browsing 3D printing issues throughout the internet, but it is the first case when I saw a composite object made form steel and plastic. Could you tell me some more details about it? (ie.: steel particle size, percentage, etc.) Had it been produced by convention
al extrusion or sintering ? What is the conductivity of this material like. What are your ideas, could it be used in projects where conductivity is needed, even by replacing steel with coper? Thanks ...

hey there,

sorry not composite.
