i can see this design being tweaked a bit to make arms as well, all it needs then is a head and torso.

Has anyone tried to adapt this project to less than human size? i found the instructions on line at this link: http://exploredoc.com/doc/3898391/aesthetic-design-and-development-of-humanoid-legged

No motors, just sensors ?

Just semi rigid and can be pushed around ?

So these legs cannot actually move on their own or walk ?

Trololol. Click the link, no actuators are mentioned at all..

I think It is very misleading and wasteful putting 3D printable parts here, advertising it as moving 3D printable parts you can build yourself. without mentioning all the parts needed to make it work as advertised.

It is useless printing the plastic parts, if you cannot make it move on its own.

The Link here and even the info itself on DyRos website is very sketchy on the details

The only en-semblance of a BOM to be found anywhere is this picture http://www.3ders.org/images2014/3d-printable-dyros-humanoid-leg-robot-3.jpg

Which mentions an ASS145 E http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotary_encoder and incrimental encoder which is just for position feedback, (Something servos normally give themselves anyway.

It then lists a servo drive http://www.elmomc.com/products/whistle-solo-servo-drive-gold.htm (No Servos are listed, if they did use a servo, they wouldn't need the Encoder.

They do say the incremental encoder is inside a motor DC/Stepper Motor (Not AC i see no way they could drive an AC in there) to make it act as a servo.... but there is 0 mention of a DC/Stepper motor anywhere, other than to mention they are high torque, which is a given for this application.

So what is the point of printing the plastic parts, without the bits to go inside.

By the amount of people that have noticed this upload is also missing a foot, it looks like a few people have maybe tried to print this already, and will be disappointed when they try to build the rest of it, to find there is no rest, the other things listed have no actuators. So they just wasted their time and materials for nothing.

Trololol The only link here is in the Thing info button above on the left.

roboMaking you are just trolling now you mention the links source below to CADdimensions AMG 5 hours ago, so you know about the link. Anymore trolling and I will flag your comments as spam. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=trolling

Wow, Congrats you really are a mega troll.

I am in the process of trying to find the file for the foot, it was not included in the leg files but from the looks of it the foot is the same for both the right and the left leg.

wery nice projet but where is the foot?
