How did you come across the 3D Model for this? Or did you design it from the ground up?

I can do the same thing and judging by the model i think we have the same method, there is an editor that can extract m3s from the starcraft files and then you can repair them.

Yeah, I kind of forgot that I commented that, I have since learned to extract .m3 files with a program I have forgotten the name of, and then convert them to .stl with Blender, it's a useful process, but unfortunately the models are quite low-quality and not very printable, so I still enjoy models like this where they at least seem to be repaired at a higher poly count and made at least a little more printable.

If you're already putting the in blender just add a subsurf. some models will take it and retain their shape and you can add 2 or 3 subdivisions and get a pretty smooth model.

The built in supports are very annoying to get off, building it with cura generated supports on the file w/out, seems to be better.

I would recommend printing it with the built in support and without support generated in Cura. Everything should break off when it is done.
