This is a lever type direct drive setup for the Recreus extruder. The lever allows quick replacement of filament without using tools. This unit can be used for stiff filament like ABS or PLA and for flexible filament like Recreus' FilaFlex. Soft filament requires less spring pressure for the lever than stiff filament, so, the body part has a deep hole for the spring to set in. With a plug filling part of the hole the tension can be increased, allowing the design to use one spring for different tensions for different types of filaments.
The lever uses a 608ZZ bearing held on a M5 bolt. The hole in the lever must be thread tapped for M5. The 4mm hole in the lever top assumes a 4mm OD x 3mm ID PTFE tube will be fitted in the hole to reduce wear on the hole and drag on the filament.
The mount is for an Open Builds Mini-V Wheel Plate. Sketchup files are included so other mountings can be easily designed.

Print with ABS. I used 40% infill. The hole in the bottom of the body must be tapped M6 for the Recreus barrel to be threaded into the body. You need a Bottom type tap as this is a blind hole. The hole in the lever needs to be tapped M5 for a 12mm long bolt to mount the 608ZZ bearing.
This is designed to be mounted on a Mini-V Wheel carriage running on a 20mm V-Slot extrusion by Open Builds. The mount can be modified for other mountings.
The assembled.skp file should be consulted for fitting pieces together.
