Got problems with Gefman 5040 props (motors emax 1806). Look at the picture:

Seems like Front hands have to be little bit longer (5-7mm is enough, I think)

Oh havent tryed 5040 props maybe thats why :/ i will fix that thanks !

Looks great but how large is your printer? I have a really small printer (prints 110x110mm or 4,3inchx4,3inch) do you Think that is enough?

Hi! well exactly there´s lots of them, so u can print the one you need and place it , thats why theres no holes =D

can you post the bottom as all one peice. I like the design but have a printer that will fit it all

My quad is flying really well and really stiff.

I am using the "beef" parts and total weight AUW is about 600gr.

All printed in ABS with 50% infill.

The main difference compare to your design is i use 36mm spacers instead of 42mm. So i re-size the sony camera holder in order to fit with 36mm poles

Roughly i get 7 minutes flying with 1300 genace lipo 3S.

One important matter : i used initially with 5030 prop but with this setup 5040 props is far better.

i have one request if you dont mind , currently i am using widely used 36mm spacers and i was obliged to re-scale the camera mount but the now the center space for the camera is too small (shrink) and need to grind it in order to make it fit; Since i dont have a workable STL file and my skill for autocad or solidworks is so poor it should be useful to have a camera mount for 36mm spacer.

Hello , regarding the camera , i will suggest to use widely used camera likely the PZ4020 or common 700tvl sony camera.
The holes are 34mm x 34mm (when you pull off the perforated tabs).

the Inner original extrusion can remain no need to change.

Hello , printed yesterday and unfortunately my mistake i did not take into account the Hollow from the top plate . the height should be roughly 3mm shorter.

i will post pictures later when back home.

hiya! hahah its ok! but i think if i do this 3mm shorter your camera wont fit, at least the screw holes wont =P

So how does the frame go together? do you glue it?

i am using simply super glue and i can tell u it is really solid

Yes as you can see in the pics theres a groove for them to fit, then you can add some glue so it doesnt slip =)

Well if you use the standard setup, props will be 5x3 with 2000kv+ motors on 3S batts =D

Looks really good and the arms look strong... Only part that looks weak to me is the motor mount area. i would beef that part up a bit to give protection to the motors like "Xcopter" suggested and it would make it stronger to impacts too.
