This is a vertical mount for my tricopters 1.3ghz transmitter used for FPV flight.
Please post up the ones that you make. Let me know if you like the mount.
(*UPDATE 10mm Booms. Make sure you download correct size.)
10mm Carbon boom mount added, would recommend putting some sticky tape in the back to prevent sliding.
Have you broken one of these yet in a wreck?
I have broken two tail booms with this mount on there and haven't seen any stress marks in the plastic, just bent antennas.
Post up some pics of the ones you've made.
The transmitter used is ReadyMadeRC's 1.3GHz 300mW transmitter. The mount is designed for 1/2 inch booms. Print flat on the back. I printed with support using 30% fill. The mount weighes 8 grams at that infill. You will need 3 small zipties and a file. Clean off all the support material and grab your file. Use the file on the inside of the pocket until your transmitter can slide in snugly. DO NOT use the lower ear to push the transmitter in, it isn't a support piece without the boom in the lower slot. Once the transmitter is in use one ziptie in the slot on the top. That will keep the transmitter from sliding out. Next, two more zipties in the lower slots inserted from the front side. Slide onto 1/2 boom. Tighten zipties.
