I'm still using my Ultimaker 2 Extended on basic settings. I checked 'support structures' and it made the coolest honeycomb of support material that came off smoothly and cleanly. Pretty cool in and of itself. Nice design by the way :D

Hi, Thanks for the comment!, why not post up a pic of your toolholder! i always love to see what other peoples look like!

I am wanting to print this, but I am curious as to what orientation and setting you guys used in Cura. Thanks!

When i printed mine, i simply used the standard Medium Cura setting, so no support material.

What about the overhang that occurs no matter how it's oriented?

the orientation I printed it in is as it is on the model shown above.

with regards to the overhang, I simply let Cura "Bridge" the gap...

Great thing! I printed it and it works wonderfully! Catches on the screws on the side, though. But it holds all the tools! :)

I use the small drill bit for rounding up small holes 1.0mm in diameter, i had been printing items with a small hinge, and needed them to be perfectly round so i could insert a piece of 1mm dia wire that is used for the hinge pivot.

And no, not used at all for the Ultimaker.

what are you using the drill bit for? is this used on the ultimaker?

No, i just let it bridge the gap! witch it did ok, although it did pull the side in slightly. so maybe support would have been the better choice.

Did you use support on this ?
