Need to be printed whit support?

Thank you for this beautiful model edcorusa!
I printed this as a gift for my brother in law's gf (she's preggers) and as an entry for a contest.

I also posted an image and the link to the video in the 'Made' section here.

When I print it without supports the lady ends up with hairy under arms and a hairy chin and I have to shave all that off.

Hahaha. Ya, the chin almost ruined everything for me right almost at the end of the printing run. By sheer luck, there were strings between the mother & child which caught the plastic for the floating chin that slowly built up to a strong base for the rest of the mother's head. Yes, the mother had goatie that I had to shave too. Not so much hairy armpits though since my printer added support for the mother's arms

It looks like the wood based specialty filament LAYWOO, if you google there are plenty of places selling it

I would think it would be the way you paint it. With a number of layers of different shads of browns.

This is amazing. Do you have any ideas on how to make it seem like it's wooden?

Please have a look at my print .After removing all supports, use medium /coarse file and 180 grit sandpaper over entire model.try to sand in grain direction.washed off with lacquer thinners.sealed with acrylic satin clear ,dry brushed with burnt umber acrylic .finished with 3 coats of acrylic gloss clear .Printed in true brown PLA

Wooden filament? I believe there's a way to give shine to it and also to print with patterns
