Thanks for this beautiful model! I am new to 3d printing so I don't quite know what I am doing yet. I've tried printing this twice now (at 50% scale) and both times it messed up in the exact same place- that is, about a third of the way up the body. At this point, the PLA starts accumulating around the nozzle without being laid down on the model and I have to stop the print. I have no idea why- the part that it does print looks perfect. I am not suggesting there is anything wrong with the model- obviously it is likely due to my noobiness. If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them though. Thanks again!

I have tried 10 time to print with not one good print the head will not connect to neck ;(

Can you provide more information? Does it snap off during the print (if so, you may wnt to consider slow your print down). Does the model gcode have the head connected? This model works, even printer companies like Monoprice ship it with their printers as an example model (although illegally I might add). Its going to boil down to working what is happening with your print and tuning accordingly.

This seems to be the same swan as the example gcode from the Monoprice Maker Select.

Yes - Monoprice are using my model without my permission.

what resolution did you use? IE, layer heights and printer speed

Fabulous, printed one scale 1/2 with PLA 0,08 layer, no infill, 3 perimeters.

Now we need Odile with Adalinda's upturned head ;)

Do you mean a swan with an upturned head or some kind of Adalinda/Odile chimera?:-)

Definitely chimera :) perhaps tail too!

I don't know how you do this, but I'm sure glad you do.

Very nice work!

Thank you. Kind words indeed.

Beautiful work, as usual. Adding this to my queue....

Many thanks!

The world needs more swans. Well, the pretty and noble ones from story books and music. The big mean ones that hiss and chase you if you don't give them snacks, can go elsewhere:-)

Yes! I love swans. Real, actual swans? Not so much.
