Bullet Puzzle
by shahan

Solved it. In the process of smothing out the rounds before I paint it. Hope it stays together better once painted as some have stated

Boooooo it doesn't stay together, try again, unlike

It looks fun to play with, but its near impossible to print successfully.

use a brim while printing

I had similar issues with printing, but I finally printed on a raft and they came out looking amazing! it was a fun puzzle to put together too

Three Tips:
1) When printing my first several tries fell over mid print. I used dark blue painters tape that gave it a firm adhesion. The tape had to be washed and scrubbed off. (Don't use very hot water as it will soften the print. )
2) Painting it helps give enough friction to keep it together and reduces the tolerances to give a reasonable fit.
3) Hint for puzzle: put like shapes together first.

Thanks for helping pass some time it was fun and another learning experience with this wonderful world of 3d printing!

Anyone have a working link to how to solve this puzzel?

20 minutes guys ! haha

The bullets are coming loose from the bed after the halfway point. How can I make them stick better?

I printed with 3 shells and 40 infill and it still broke when was inserting the last bullet.

It seems layers not sticking together well on my printer. :-(
I guess i will try to print the bullets laying on the side with supports.

it doesn't snap together but rather fits together, could be tighter but assembled sits on my desk just fine.

Does not stay together!

Super Glue works!

Then what's the point of the puzzle?

Ok, I've solved it but it doesn't stay together... Anyone else have this problem?

Won't snap together for me either.. :(

Making this now. My printer is using 2 hours on every piece on medium quality :/ rip

Hahaha 90 min to print, 2 min to solve.
I liked your puzzle, might give it as a gift

not so easy to be a stupid =)) cant beat you, 15 minutes =))

I managed to assemble it in 5 minutes. Just have a good look :-)
BTW: for anyone aho want to give a set as a gift: I made a Gift-Box.. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:252908http://www.thingiverse.com/thi...

Giftbox for thing 43672 (Bullet Puzzle)

I cant get it at all I've been trying for 3 hours

To funny, it took me 2 hours...
Keep trying you'll figure it out!

How do you put it together
Its driving me crazy

Do you need a strait jacket, yet?

I wonder what type of rounds these were modeled off?
Only reason I ask - I have a friend who's in the army. I'd like to scale it to something common (like a .308) - I think he'd get a good laugh out of it!

5.56 Ball M-16 ammo

Ooh this looks like a tough one to solve, thanks! It printed nicely at 100% infill, and shells=1, with a raft. I hope I don't blow my brains out trying to solve this one! :) http://www.thingiverse.com/derivative:53714http://www.thingiverse.com/der...

Did you get it together? Picture, please....

Arrggh it was not easy (for me) ... not enough patience, so I cheated by looking up the solution :( and I also had to use some elastics to keep it together because it kept slipping:

I have been looking for solutions but can’t find one. Could you possibly post the link for it
