I'm a guy that can spends hours to run perfectly wires in a device.
For my brand new Prusa i2, i decided to make a simple wire holder to clip on a rod (smooth or treathed).
Find here three size of holder for 8mm rods and my scad file.
SCAD file is simple and clear to help you make yours to your own dimension (for exemple, rod diameter if you need something different than 8mm but brackets size too)
Given STL are for 8mm rods
Recommended Brackets size (bracket_width x bracket_height) :
Size 'S' : 8mm x 4mm / about 4 - 6 wires (amateria-rod-clip-wire-holder-s.stl)
Size 'M' : 8mm x 12mm / about 8 - 12 wires (amateria-rod-clip-wire-holder-m.stl)
Size 'L' : 8mm x 16mm / about 20 - 24 wires (amateria-rod-clip-wire-holder-l.stl)
Slic3d perfectly on 1.2.0 experimental and 1.1.7 stable at 40 mm/s on a Prusa I2
Create GCODE with your favorite program from one of the STL files given or create your own customized version with the SCAD file.
Print the thing.
Put the wires into the bracket by the gap and clip it where your want on a rod !
Enjoy wires management !
Don't print too fast, it's small parts !
