I see that the Z axis supports are different on each side. One is solid with the Z rods and stepper and the other side has them segregated. Is the segregated side to aid in alignment? Seems the other Hypercube Evos have all of their Z components segregated. Is there a benefit to the unified side? Thanks!

Hi Oktavius,

Unified Z axis mount helps ppl easier to align rods and leadscrew, but segregated one is more forgiving.

About length of the bolts, I don't remember exactly. Usually I keep various lengths in stock and re-stock if any runs out.

Also, do you have more details on the hardware? I see M3, M4, and M5 listed. Do you know what lengths are needed?

Are the X-axis mount parts (stepper mount and idler pulley mount) interchangeable with other 2020 Hyperube Evolution's such https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2452700 ? I ask because I want a more rigid idler pulley mount but don't want to have to change the stepper mounts as well.

Sorry that I don't test the martind_n's design yet. But in my new version, I switch X, Y Axis to 10mm linear rods, so the parts are not compatible with the design you provide.

IMO, you should upgrade X, Y to 10mm linear rods for better rigidness.

Hello,thanks for the great remix. I want to recycle my old tevo printer into this. it has a 222x222 bed is there a formula to calculate the 2020 lengths needed for a smaller bed size?

There is not a formula yet, but you can use my source file (Sketchup) to calculate your design. Any remixes are welcome!!!

Hey, I realy like work that you have done. Me and my friend made simmilar printer whith same rods and 2040 extrusion frame. Can you add .stp or Fusion assembly into archive so other people can check it out? I also considering to assemble your version of HEVO whith some tweeks.

Unfortunately I don't use Fusion, but Sketchup. I uploaded the source file (.skp) along with the .stl. Hope it helps!
