Not bad, but I don't understand why you didn't also include the chipset.
Many of us have added heatsinks, because we overclock our Pi like adults.

Thank your for this TOP model. Very helpfull, even in the last 1 to 10th mm

Big thanks for that awesome model :)

Could you upload an "step"(.stp) file?

The Sketchup source file is included. Maybe use that and export it to some other format, or use Meshlab to convert it to another format compatible with the software you are using.

Thanks for your effort on this design and it's accuracy. It's a wonderful model.

I stood on your shoulders to make this design: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1035878

It's worth noting that your model is 100% compatible with the raspberry pi 2 as well.

Raspberry Pi B+ Mini Classic NES case.

I am finding it impossible to find a 3d model to use in solidworks. Can yuo upload a STP or IGES file, if possible?

This was created with Google SketchUp. The source file is included. However, I am not aware of a save option that will meet your needs. I'd suggest loading the provided STL file with meshlab, and see where this leads you. But this model is far from being manifold. Its meant to be used only as base to make cases for it.

I found all the measures on the raspberry pi web site and blogs. As for the connectors, I imported those from a SketchUp library.

Good luck.

Hi! I am new to the world of Pi but my first task is to design a case. I have done some crude sketches and posted on my blog. Any chance you would be willing to help me out with a sketchup? Here's the link http://johnsberrypi.com/blog/my-first-pi-project/

If not, is that the best program to use for this kind of thing? I am thinking of doing the case as 3D printed or wood. Maybe both.

Thanks again for the model. It is awesome.

Hello there, indeed, I do use sketchup, its all I use for my drawings. I am at it since about a year ago, and this is where I started : http://www.sketchup.com/fr/learn/videos?playlist=58 Drawing a lot of mechanical things (hell, I designed my own 3D printer with it) I found the best tool not in sketchup is http://extensions.sketchup.com/en/content/guide-tools which allows you to place a center point anywhere, typically in circles, and that is an awesome help when aligning stuff. You can take a peek at my 3D printer, and you will see what I mean. Good luck !

Thanks jayftee. That's amazing you designed your own 3D printer! Think that's a little out of my knowledge level at this point :).

Awesome! Thanks much.

edit: Oh man, even more stoked you designed in Sketchup AND supplied the file. I will post my B+ case model asap.

You are welcome.

I have an edition of my safe and secure case in the works, but building my 3rd 3D printer is a challenge that will come first :P
