Hello, I just bought the game and the original insert is awful, so I'm definitelly looking for a true insert. Yours looks just awesome. I like the discard sockets, very clever.
I have some questions:

  • where are you storing the HAL cards?
  • where are you storing the Spes tile & token?
  • Can you confirm you put the player discs and starting technology tiles in their player box?

Thanks in advance

Hi -

-I store the HAL cards just with the rest of the cards under one of the stacks. There is enough room. I don't have mine sleeved so it makes it easier to see, but either way they fit.

-There are slots in the hex-shaped piece that holds the Black Angel figurine for the Spes round token and first player marker. You can see the recessed areas in the 'Thingview' of that hex piece. The Spes large tile as per the notes in the build has a space right underneath the space strips on the middle hex support, it is slightly recessed to fit the tile.

-Yes, everything for the players goes into their respective player box.

Hope you like the insert.

I'm buying the game just so I can make this insert :D

Haha thanks! It's a great game regardless of the insert!

This insert look amazing but the card tray is to big for my printer and I have no idea how to cut it in half
I use a geeetech I3 220x220

OK I split the Cards model into ALT BA Cards Left and ALT BA Cards Right. Hopefully these fit your print bed. Everything is snug enough that they should just fit in nicely in the box.

Really nice insert! Really beatiful
But the lid didn't fit in the pieces, is this normal?
I have to make a post treatment to make them fit in.

But thanks a lot for the good work!

Thank you!

Are you talking about the UFO pieces? I would not put them into the Component Hex Top piece, but they fit in either of the two Component Hex boxes that you print. The reason the Component Hex Top box is thinner is because the lid is 7mm and I had to trim down the height of one of the boxes so that they all align to the rest of the insert. The debris cubes or diamonds fit in that Top box though.

Hope that helps. fwiw, I didn't have any issues with the lids fitting or the pieces fitting in their respective boxes.

Sorry for the late anwser, i was very busy and not that much time for printing.

Thank you for your answer.

No my problem is (at this point) for the dices box and blue player robots, the only 2 i've printed yet, they didn't fit in the hex lid :'(

Definitely one of the best inserts in both design and functionality. Thanks!

Glad you like it, thank you! It was fun designing it.
