I stumbled upon the OLight when one of my coworkers was showing it off at work. Man this thing kicks out some serious light from a little clip on flashlight. I love how versatile this little light is and how easily it recharges. Unlike other lights of this variety though, I haven't found a lot of accessories for it.
I work around traffic a lot and need a flashlight to help keep myself noticeable and, at times, to direct traffic. I printed a similar cone for my Streamlight flashlight but wanted one that would be portable enough to go with the OLight. I made some modifications on my original design and came up with this handy little collapsible cone. I hope you like it!
Although I initially designed this to be a print-in-place, I found it to be somewhat difficult to keep the ends of the cones from sticking to the cross bar so I printed everything separately to prevent that from happening. It actually comes out much nicer this way.
If you can stand the brightness of the strobe, simply click the flashlight button 3 times and it will blind you. If you want something a little more tame, the middle setting seems to do the trick.
There shouldn't be any real post processing except you'll need to insert the cones into the main base and align and push in the bar. Mine was a tight fit but went in nicely. It might not hurt to glue it in place. You also might need to wiggle the puller knob at the end of the middle cone to break it loose. Otherwise, it should print fine.
