I always wanted a direct drive extruder for my hevo because the bowden setup was the only thing I didn't like about my Hypercube Evolution. Since all other extruders were too heavy in my opinion I decided to create an own one from scratch.
I used only parts buyable for little money from Ali or BG or any other shop simply because this was to be a test. But it's working great and now this is my every day extruder for my every day printer. Now I'm able to print flexible filaments as well as PLA, ABS, PETG, Nylon, ... without any problem.
I used BMG clone gears, a 20mm stepper motor and a 3D Touch sensor along with a V6 hotend. As I'm using a all metal hotend I used a 45.4 mm PTFE tube for a pefect fitting.
If you print it, feel free to support me ;-)
