Thanks for your reply, it has stopped me dead in my tracks and will just do the belt driven dual z on my ender3 pro. I have it on my other machine and it works great. This pro is half complete in assembly, taking my time and all the mods I have printed out are going on it as I assemble. Thanks again

Maybe you just need to turn up the voltage on your z axis on your board. This is a great mod so give it a try on the v1.1.4 and 1.1.5 boards.

I'm afraid I tried going to the Max rated VREF but it still skipped layer steps , after a lot of discussion we came to the conclusion that the drivers are locked in "stealth chop" mode to make them really quiet but unfortunately it reduces torque too much to run twin steppers , its probably fine with the v1.1.3 board or the noisy v1.1.4 board as they both use the Allegro drivers but then you get noise and salmon skin so its back to TL smoothers and stepper dampers ....

try "mod" with ... closing(shorting) rezistor on board , which make driver work in other mode.

I'm not really sure witch resistor I'd need to bridge and I don't want to damage the board so I'll leave that to you to try if you wish .

i made it, motor become litlle more noisy .
