Hi Jdobry.

I have this errors in compiling:
Loaded design 'C:/Dati C/HEVO-MGN/hevo-mgn-master/SCAD/HEVO_mgn_15_12.scad'.
WARNING: Can't open library 'splines.scad'.
WARNING: Can't open library 'Naca_sweep.scad'.
WARNING: Can't open library 'cooler.scad'.
WARNING: Can't open library 'mgn15.scad'.
WARNING: Can't open library 'mgn12.scad'.

I think you have this files in "Library folder".

mgn* files are fixed (I forget add this files to repository)
Other libs are external and I don't have plan to add it to my repository due to license reasons. See to README.md or HEVO_mgn_15_12.scad file where you can download necessary files.

are there any single printable parts?
would like to start this project

All printable parts are published.
REMEMBER! It is not tested completely at this moment.
Please don't forget to share your result.

Hi, I will publish it tomorrow (I'm too busy now).
On this moment I mount it together on printer. It looks good, but not tested.
See https://photos.app.goo.gl/Uec1npeeNbUNK8969

I like your model. Looks good. I have a question you might be able to ancer. I was thinking of putting the rails on top of the 2020 extrusion for mor strengthening and then the trolly on top of thatwith another 2020 or smaller . Do you think I would loose any room?

I was same idea. Use lighter MGN12 and mount it to 2020 profile (for X axis). Therefore I try to calculate mass of MGN12 + 2020 profile. Result is that it have similar weight like MGN15. Therefore I try to bend MGN15. It is stretch enough and it have some benefits. MGN15H is wider (=better stability) and it need less space.

Will a frame built for rods/bearings be compatible? Gain or lose much for build volume? I already have a HEVO, but rails are becoming readily available where I live and when the time comes to replace bearings I would like to just go with linear guides.

It will not lost any print volume.
Frame is almost compatible. Problem is simple inner corner on top of frame. My modification is not compatible with "L" profiles in corner. Theoretically it is possible, but I don't trust oval holes in plastics to tune screw position.
3-way corner is better solution. For example from here http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/bZdNrOh2

Good to know, I will keep this in mind.

Thanks for your work!

Can you please post the files in Fusion 360 format as I want to make with using MGN09 linear rails I've got already.
Cheers Andrew

No. Model is made in OpenSCAD and it is not possible to convert it. OpenSCAD is something like programming of 3D objects. t have some advantages like easy possibility to tune parameters. And some disadvantages, mainly it is incompatible with visual CAD tools.

Hi jdobry.

You are doing a great job.
The OpenScad files can be easily imported into FreeCad, this would allow the community to adapt the parts to their needs.

FreeCAD is able to import simple OpenSCAD projects only. Not something complicated like this. (I try it already)

That OK, I will have to model off your STL's then, No problem.

Can you please add each part separately?

Yes, i will publish all STLs later (next weekend probabbly). At this moment I must solve some last details (cable holder on head and optical endstop option).

Can please post here when you've published parts.
