Thank you. Very well done job. I'm printing now. Best regards

Dziękuje. Bardzo dobrze wykonana praca. Właśnie drukuję. Pozdrawiam

Just about finished printing but I could do with a few clarifications:
Part 88 seems to be a duplicate of part 87, is that right?
Instructions for assembling the guns seem to be missing
The long thin antennae for the front doesn't seem to be in the file list although I can see the locating slot on the model, does this need scratch building?

Very impressed with the engineering, only had two misaligned holes (my fault for going out of sequence) which is astonishing given the number of parts and the sub assemblies. Surprisingly the hard parts were all around where parts were glued together

Korik, have updated the instructions with the missing bits, just re-download them.
Thanks!

Hi Korik
I just checked to see if Thingiverse had done something weird with the files, but they look OK. There are 2x parts 87, but they are labelled 87_left and 87_right, and are mirror opposites of each other. It is a completely different part to 88, which also has an 88_left and 88_right.

And yes, the thin antenna on the front i just used a piece of rectangular styrene beam, with a bit of styrene rod attached. Seemed a bit pointless to print that.

I'll redo the instruction image for that to make it clear, and i admit i totally forgot to add instructions for the guns! I'll do them both now and update shortly.

The first person who printed it did it before i'd done the instructions, and said he had a pain of a time figuring out how to assemble it. Until he saw the sequence and realised he'd basically done it backwards. Once he did it the way i showed, went together nicely.

Just re-checked my printing list and I'm suspecting I printed off the 88s, didn't tick them off then printed them again - so much for trying to be organised!
I'm at the painting stage and I've got to say it looks well impressive, even though my daughters thought it was a rifle when they first saw it :-)
Thanks again for sharing this, really an outstanding piece of work, I'll post in a picture of the finished article soon as it's done

Hi Rob,
a really great model. Thank you for it.
Best regards,
Oliver

Hey thanks for the effort and sharing. Your model came out great. Would you mind sharing the colors you used for the hull? I'm not sure I have room for a 800mm version (wife would kill me), but I do have room for a 400mm and I have a DLP to print the parts that FDM cannot handle. But my biggest issue is colors. Thanks!

To be honest i'm not sure exactly what colours i used, i literally just grabbed all the greys from my paints and went with what worked. They were all Tamiya colours, and i used about 6 different greys.
800mm isnt as big as you think, a good 200mm of that is the antenna at the front, and the main body is only about 70-80mm wide. If you have a DLP printer, definitely do the round detail insert pieces with that.

Really nice work on this. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to this printing project.

Thank you, just fantastic,

Whats the length of the completed model?

It does actually say 800mm.

Totally missed that on the first line. Blame old age!
Thanks
