Very powerful robot joint with dual gearbox and bevel gear setup, designed specifically for the legs of Sylvie 2020. Size C (Knee and Thigh joint).
The whole purpose of this setup is to combine two gearboxes together. I figured it would be better to have as many individual pieces as possible, so that you can replace them if they break or if you want to modify them. Saves filament and time.

The gearboxes by LoboCNC will soon be replaced with some of my own in future. I didn't know anything about gears before I started this project.. and now I feel I have the confidence to start designing my own.
There's two holder rings and one center ring that is sandwiched in-between. You have a backplate and a frontplate that goes with each holder ring. The backplate holds the gearboxes in place. You may have to flip the orientations until you get the right fit. The front plate holds the bearings in place.
You have two versions: 90 degrees and 180 degrees. 180 is for the knee joints and 90 degrees is for thigh joints.
The drive gears should ideally be printed in Nylon 6, as they can strip very easily.. and if that doesn't cut it, then go get some carbon-filled Nylon filament! (Should be a decent investment if you only use it to print gears, and keep the rest made out of ABS).
