Simple chain hold down for those of us using Glass beds on the Anet A8. Does need some drilling in the H-Frame under the glass, but 2 small 3mm holes are all it takes. Or I suppose you could glue it down too, your call.
Essentially this is a little bracket that keeps the Y axis chain held down when the bed is at the back of its travel. This keeps the nozzle from hitting it while starting prints or during wide X moves.
Not the most elegant design, but works. This was designed to be about a half a millimeter under the height of the glass bed. If you use this without the glass, it will be too tall and may cause issues.
Finally, the notch is there for clearance on the bed adjustment bolts. In the picture I manually cut the notch. In the model this is included.
Amazon Basics ABS
Print on it's side and you will not need supports or anything. Also, I have been having a hard time with print quality with the Amazon Basics ABS. So please ignore the rough edges in the picture. For whatever reason, Hatchbox ABS prints like butter and looks great.
This will either need some holes drilled in the H-frame under the bed, or to be glued down. I added two small recesses in the tab so that drilling alignment is simple if you go that route.
