Can I print this item with out problems?

If you laser cut it in 1/8 inch (3.175 mm) MDF or similar, it goes together without issues.

Have u instructions to connect the parts?

I'm new to this whole laser cutting thing, and so have a question: While I understand that the thick black lines are cutting lines, what are the cyan and magenta lines for, and how much power/speed would you suggest for the fine black has lines?

Oh, another thing... I don't know how experienced you are with CAD... The fine squares pattern on the solar panels are usually found in your CAD software as a "hatching". The hatching function gives you access to different scalable patterns that can be rotated to an angle that fits your model. I've probably used a 3 or 4 mm square pattern in the model in the pics (frankly, I don't remember, it's been a while...) I'm mentioning this because I design things in DraftSight in my spare time, but cut it at work on a machine that runs Rhino, a more professional software. This has caused problems for me from time to time, as Rhino can't read DraftSight's hatching and consequently crashes. This means I have to do the hatching after importing the DXF into Rhino. If you are experienced with CAD, please fell free to play around with the model, add detail or stuff like that. It's what it's there for. After all, this Tie Interceptor was the model that got me started in Laser cutting design. I was inspired by Breakfastsandwich's brilliant Tie fighter, and shamelessly modified it into this. :)

The cyan and magenta lines are for etching. I like to add details and lines to make the models more realistic and to help me remember where to glue on bits that aren't attached to the surface with tabs and holes. How much power to use depends on what laser cutter and material you're using. Typically you'll want to use higher speed and lower effect and frequency, but how much lower effect and frequency depends on how deep you want the laser to etch. I can't help you any further than this, you'll need to refer to your laser cutter's manual for the rest. Typically, you'll find a chart somewhere in the manual with suggestions for cutting and etching different materials. A good rule of thumb for etching is to start with a high speed setting and low power/effect and pulse frequency. If the etching is too weak, you can always do another run with more power or lower speed. I hope you find this helpful. And please post pics on your thingiverse page if you make one of my models. what is the size of the largest single piece? My laser bed is only 24" x 12"

The largest pieces are the upper and lower solar panels, of which there are four. Each panel is roughly 11'' x 2.8'' (279 mm x 71 mm). In the DXF files they're laid out in a block that's about 13.5'' x 6.5'' (342 mm X 162 mm). You'll be fine, I think, but of course you'll have to move things around a bit.
