This mount lets you move the stock tail light/fender assembly to the back of the rear rack, so that it is always visible even when you are bogged down with luggage.
Additionally, you can move the light only part way back by sliding it along the railing to your preferred location before tightening it down. The protective cable sleeve slides into the 1" channel in the bike's frame, and so is also fully adjustable to any depth.
You will need two M4 screws, four M4 washers, and two M4 nuts.
Remove seat (four hex screws, underneath).
Remove fender/lights (two bolts, 3mm allen wrench)
Remove slack wire that is tucked into frame.
Insert cable protector into frame.
Place top latch (small holes) on rack as shown, place bottom latch (big holes, facing down) on bottom. Thread a screw + washer through each side from above, and mount the fender/light assembly underneath it. Add a washer and screw underneath, and loosely tighten.
Move light/fender to desired location by sliding it laterally along the rail. Tighten in place.
Tuck cables into cable protector.
- Put seat back on.
